Honor Park

A quick piece for my friend Andrew's Kickstarter project, Honor Park! He left his job at Dreamworks to make a show that teaches boys and young men about honor. If you believe in honor and want to help the young men in your life to be awesome, check it out and donate!

Old Biker

This one's from a couple of months ago, but I just never got around to posting it lol

Emily and I took a trip with my family to visit Devils Tower this summer, which was an absolute blast!  It also happens to be a tourist hotspot on the way to Sturgis, South Dakota where they have an enormous motorcycle rally every year.  So many interesting characters!  I mean that of course, as an artist, and in the most endearing possible way.  I wish I could have stayed all week just to sketch bikers . . . :)

Aquabats: first exposure

Lol tonight's weekly Fiasco (movie night) featured "The Aquabats Supershow!"  I think I may have found a new distraction . . . .

American Ride

A quick sketch and digital paint-up inspired by BYU television's (link --->) American Ride, quite possibly one of the coolest shows ever :)  It's basically the Magic Schoolbus with a Harley.  The host is Stan Ellsworth, a motorcyclist, former NFL Linebacker, and history teacher.  He rides his steel horse across the country and teaches about its history, from first colonization to the American Revolution to . . . well, it's still going, but currently he's starting a section about the Civil War.  I recommend checking it out, he's a great storyteller with a definite new perspective.

Dual Wielding

Tuesday night my girlfriend invited me to an experimental music concert of visiting professor William O. Smith, a master clarinetist. No joke, the man can play two clarinets simultaneously! To top it off, he is nearly 100 years old! He played at Jazz clubs in the 1940's, like the actual ones.  The actual 1940s.  As opposed to the . . .  made-up ones.  Take that, conspiracy theorists!  It was the fun :)

Hip Wal-Mart Guy

A quick sketch from the Friday before last, on a Wal-Mart sketchcrawl with my buddies Kendall and Mitch.  Wal-Mart is the best place :)
