This is the character that kind of spurred the whole "English explorer" idea from the previous post. He started out as a doodle in my sketchbook, with the idea being that a witchdoctor is cursing a foreigner for committing a tribal taboo known as "The Great and Unforgiveable No-No". I kind of liked him, so I decided to build a variety of characters around him to flesh out his world. I'm tentatively calling the story, "Pish-Posh" :)
Oh, wow! He turned out so nicely! I like the warmth of the colors you chose; it gives him an energy different from the cooler palettes that I often see you use.
ReplyDeleteAlso, the silhouette of the wings is still beautiful.
:) Thanks! My Illustration 2 teacher has been suggesting I warm things up. He was a fun character to work on :)
